I like this shot as it has the potential to be manipulated and used within a different scenario.
It also appeals to the audience demographic of Smaller Than You as it shows a young male and the skateboard is relevant to the music video.
I would like this to be used for the front cover of my digipak as it depicts rebellion which is relevant to the genre ska. It does by making it seem as though the skateboard is the graffitti figure climbing over the wall giving the scenario that he's stealing or sneaking back home after a late night.
This shot has potential for either the back of the digipak or the inside cover. I used a close up of a young male in order to appeal to the audience demographic. This is a response to the album cover used for the Arctic Monkeys with 'Whatever People Say I am I'm Not.'

The album cover I feel is relevant to my audience demographic as it shows teen rebellion and a young male.
This photo could work as the front cover. I'd want to make this image black and white.

I like the reflection of this shot as it looks as though the graffitti is a shadow of what the male is going to do or has done. It could also give the impression of what everyone associates a person in a hoody to do. This therefor would work well as the album cover or the inside sleeve.
The final still is terrific though I think the other shots are impressive. the final has a narrative and is well composed. The 1st still could go on the back cover, it may need some cropping but there is room for track list etc.
ReplyDeleteSplendidly researched.
